The Retail Bank Marketing Technology team is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Associate Content Specialist to join our growing website team.  In this role, you will be the driving force behind our website’s daily updates, working directly within our Enterprise Content Management System (CMS). This is a highly process-driven position perfect for someone who thrives on organization, loves managing digital content, and excels at collaborating across multiple departments. You will ensure our digital presence is accurate, compliant, and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities

  • CMS Expertise & Execution: Become an expert for Capital One’s enterprise CMS. Execute day-to-day website updates, managing everything from large-scale, net-new page builds to minor copy edits.

  • Process Ownership: Help own, manage, and document the content processes from intake to execution for website pages and the content management system (CMS).

  • Stakeholder Communication: Proactively communicate with internal partners—including Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Creative, and Tech—to ensure site updates are clear. Communicate timelines, progress, or changes to stakeholders when necessary.

  • Partner Support & Testing: Collaborate closely with partners to test new page layouts, design components, and technical updates, ensuring visual integrity and optimal functionality before they go live on the site. 

  • Process Optimization & Innovation: Identify opportunities to drive process updates and improve team efficiencies, proactively exploring and implementing AI tools or automated solutions to streamline content workflows. 

  • Project Management: Juggle multiple moving deadlines simultaneously, prioritizing requests effectively to ensure timely delivery of all web updates. Work proactively in an agile environment and identify when to work outside the process in whitespace. 

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct meticulous quality assurance testing to ensure pages are created or updated exactly as requested, meeting all brand, legal, and compliance standards.

Ideal candidate should possess:

  • Process-oriented mindset with a proven ability to understand, follow, and create standard operating procedures.

  • Hyper-organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to catch small errors that others might miss.

  • Exceptional time-management skills, capable of balancing large project builds with ad-hoc, quick-turnaround requests.

  • Strong collaboration skills, with the professionalism to work seamlessly alongside diverse technical, creative, and legal partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 2 years of experience working within a Content Management System (CMS) to build and update web pages 

  • At least 2 years of digital marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a product marketing role

  • 3+ years of experience working with content management systems

  • 3+ years of experience using digital marketing, analysis and SEO tools

  • 2+ years of experience in financial services

  • Agile experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Associate, Marketing


Wilmington, DE: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Associate, Marketing










Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
