Senior Associate, Social Content Designer — Brand Video Center of Excellence

Capital One Brand team is looking for an experienced social content creator with a background in graphic design or art direction to bring our brandstorytelling to life across different audiences, products, channels and types of communication.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Create content. No surprise there, right?

    • Conceptualize, design, shoot and edit short-form video content for our Enterprise socialhandles, primarily TikTok and Meta platforms

    • Brainstorm big concepts one day and tackle detail-oriented projects the next

    • Develop and present custom concepts inspired by current trends and storytellingtactics

    • Develop and execute ideas on-the-go and in real-time at on-site events and experiences

    • Step in as on-camera talent when needed 

  • Collaborate with a lot of talented people.

    • Work with your team—art directors, writers, creative directors, brand andmarketing strategists, members of production— to explore social campaignopportunities, extensions, and produce them 

    • Work with your partners—internal marketing and line-of-business 

  • Create marketing content that cuts through the noise.

    • Monitor ongoing social and cultural conversations and trends unique to eachplatform, and identify topics that our target audience engages with to implementreal-time opportunities 

    • Understand sound design and motion principles and be able to apply them within Adobe creative software

    • Understand the importance of integrated thinking across channels, products andaudiences. 

    • Understand the balance of creating for both the platform and for the brand whileadhering to brand guidelines

    • Be willing to push the process and mindsets of others to create great customer experiences and strengthen our brand

    • Work autonomously on numerous projects happening at the same timeDeliver error-free work, using best practices with keen attention to detail

    • Listen to and incorporate feedback 

    • Determine when to use existing solutions or start from scratch, so you can investyour time where it matters

    • Understand the goals of a project, take direction well, and ask questions whenyou need clarity

    • Present your work in a compelling way to create support across differentaudiences and educate on best practices when necessary

Candidates must provide a portfolio of their creative work for consideration

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience 

  • At least 3 years of designing for social media channels

  • At least 2 years experience concepting, shooting video, editing for social media campaigns

  • At least 2 years experience with Google Suite

  • At least 2 years experience with Adobe Creative Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in app editing such as CapCut and Rush

  • 3+ years of experience delivering and executing social media campaigns 

  • 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following marketing areas: B2B, Experiential, Performance, or Direct Response Marketing 

  • Experience in the financial services industry

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York, NY: $103,200 - $117,800 for Sr. Associate, Art Director


Richmond, VA: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Associate, Art Director










Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
