Overview

Project Manager - Manager Level - Strategic Initiatives and Business Operations

The Credit Review Operations team is currently hiring a Manager who will be leading high priority horizontal initiatives while providing ongoing organizational support to drive team objectives. As a Manager, you will provide direct support to the Senior Director of Operations and Chief of Staff. You will collaborate with our key partners to drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the Credit Review organization. 

You will work with smart and passionate people delivering impactful results that support Credit Review processes and innovation. You will be challenged to excel and lead alongside the brightest talent in the industry and be rewarded for your achievements. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Works with the Chief of Staff in developing and iterating management practices to improve transparency, efficiency and effectiveness of the organization

  • Own Quarterly Business Review meetings for the SLT – Executive and Board materials, Regulators, management meetings and more – by working with the Chief of Staff to build the right messages and content, and assists with deckbuilding

  • Aid Chief of Staff in regular reviews of strategic goals, initiatives and key metrics; hone in on the strategic, operational and organizational areas for leverage

  • Drive collaboration across all areas of Credit Review to ensure consistency, sharing of best practices and optimization of resources and talent

  • Bring design thinking into the organization in order to transform workflow, policies, procedures, guidelines, requirements and standards

  • Own special projects as they arise, based on business needs

  • Must bring a positive, can-do attitude and demeanor, and be agile in order to flex with evolving and emerging business needs

  • Manage resource planning and optimization efforts ensuring alignment with strategy including, but not limited to, planning, budget management, headcount management

  • Collaborate with internal partners such as HR for All Associate Survey results and analysis and Finance for on-going budget management updates

  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders including Senior Leaders, associates, and key internal partners

  • Drive the development and monitoring of the Credit Review annual testing plan

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients

  • At least 3 years of business consulting, project management or change management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree

  • 5+ years of experience implementing change within a large organization

  • 3+ years of experience presenting in front of senior leadership teams

  • 3+ years of experience leading process improvement initiatives 

  • 3+ years of experience in Business Management or Chief of Staff offices

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Sales Territory: $144,000 - $164,400 for Credit Review Manager


Richmond, VA: $144,000 - $164,400 for Credit Review Manager


Chicago, IL: $144,000 - $164,400 for Credit Review Manager


McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800 for Credit Review Manager


Plano, TX: $144,000 - $164,400 for Credit Review Manager


Wilmington, DE: $144,000 - $164,400 for Credit Review Manager






Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
