Principal Process Manager (Hybrid)

As a Principal Process Manager at Capital One, you will be part of a smart, talented Automation Team responsible for automating and enhancing operation efficiencies that deliver excellence to customers each time. 

We are seeking a skilled, dedicated, disciplined, process professional to join our expanding Data Analytics Team. The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in the intersection of data analysis and Bots development, playing a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our data processes and products. In addition, we are seeking a person with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, excels in a team environment, and can adapt to change quickly. The ability to influence up is key to success in this position. 

General Responsibilities:

• SQL Proficiency and Programming Skills: Demonstrate good SQL knowledge and a basic understanding of programming, preferably in Python. Willingness to learn and develop further in these areas is essential.

• Data Products Development: Express a keen interest in learning and contributing to the development of data products, ensuring their relevance and effectiveness in meeting our business needs.

• Data Analysis: Conduct comprehensive data analysis, deriving actionable insights and contributing to the strategic decision-making process.

• Bots Development Support: Collaborate with the bots development team, providing support and insights to enhance bot functionalities and performance.

• Data Process Management: Manage end-to-end data process management, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness in all data-related activities.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the data analytics (DA) team and BOTS developers, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring seamless integration of efforts.

• Ownership of DA Automated Jobs and Bots: Take full ownership of maintaining and improving DA automated jobs and bots, ensuring their optimal performance and alignment with business goals.

• Accountability for Data Processes: Demonstrate a strong sense of accountability and ownership over the data processes, continuously seeking ways to enhance and streamline operations.

• Problem Solving and Communication: Exhibit excellent problem-solving abilities and maintain effective communication across all levels of the organization.

• Best Practices and Documentation: Champion best practices in data management and bot development, ensuring well-managed and up-to-date documentation for all processes and systems.

Location: West Creek 5 (Richmond, VA),this role isHybrid, where you will be expected spend about half of your working time in office and half working virtually

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification 

• At least 1 year of coding experience 

• At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office or G Suite 

• At least 1 year of process management experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience 

• At least 2 years of coding experience

• At least 2 years of process management experience 

• Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification
