That’s why our team is looking to add a Director, Workplace Ops.
As the Director, and Northeast Portfolio Lead, you’ll drive delivery on the strategic vision to grow the site, optimizing partnerships with our internal customers and lines of business, and with external providers responsible for facilities, space planning, moves, food and beverage services and mail services. You will help develop security strategies that will improve operational effectiveness and ensure the safety of Capital One employees and customers within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence
Champion a culture of operational excellence, ensuring a seamless, customer-centric experience across all service provider functions, and empowering providers to deliver innovative and transformational results.
Optimize partnerships with landlords and third-party providers across facilities, space planning, moves, food and beverage, hospitality, conferencing, AV, and print & mail services.
Ensure alignment on service provider scope of work and critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive cross-functional execution, contractual compliance, and service excellence.
Develop strategies for optimal utilization of the real estate portfolio and operational assets, addressing footprint objectives such as site exits, remodels, and related investments.
People Leadership
Drive team agenda, ensures all voices are heard, coordinates business resources to meet team goals, delegates effectively, builds very productive relationships; operates effectively in a matrix environment without solely relying on one's positional or hierarchical authority.
Understand team expertise and capacity in order to delegate appropriately, and create leverage; prioritizing empowerment and psychological safety
Model a positive work environment through engagement and team building activities
Strategy & Relationship Management
Partner with internal Capital One stakeholders such as Finance, HR, Risk, Legal, IT, Supplier Management and other lines of business
Partner with cross-functional teams at all levels and serve as a trusted real estate expert internally and externally
Share accountability to address impediments, and deliver high-performing results while balancing customer needs and communicating Global Workplace Services strategies and best practices
Regional Oversight
Develop capital improvement project budgets considering hard and soft costs, expenses related to site acquisition or improvement, financing, contingencies and other essential expenditures from internal and external partners, portfolio leads, third party vendors, and municipal contacts. Project budgets should reflect strategic short- and long-term planning, and inform the annual CapEx and Opex budgets .
Establish the framework to address applicable regulatory and government entitlements, permits, inspections etc.
Drive efficiency improvements that increase team and project productivity
Partner across GWS leadership and internal Capital One Risk teams to ensure we are well managed at all times
Be a trusted advisor toward mitigating safety and security issues stemming from incident reports
Apply a risk-centric perspective to support efforts that ensure all facilities are prepared before and after an emergency situation
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
At least 10 years of experience in Facilities Management or Relationship Management
At least 8 years of experience managing facilities for multiple locations
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in Project Management, People Management or Supplier Management
At least 3 years of experience with G Suite tools

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York, NY: $207,600 - $236,900 for Director, Workplace ServicesCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
