Manager, Communications
We’re seeking a Manager to join the Communications team to help communicateMexico priorities and initiatives internally and externally. You’ll get to work with a gamut of experts, and you’ll help drive strategy and execution for long-term internal and external communication campaigns. You’ll collaborate closely with multiple teams, HR, Brand, Talent Marketing, and Events. You’ll work on a variety of topics from internal announcements and leadership messages to media outreach and brand storytelling to everything in between.
We’re looking for an individual who is excited about helping to drive our communications agenda as well as playing an integral part of the evolution of our organization while supporting all facets of communications.We need someone who can see the big picture, and has the ability to sift through various priorities, requirements, and details, and can quickly ascertain the end goal and how to get there. We operate in a fast-paced environment. While we take our work seriously, we don’t take ourselves too seriously.
The candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communications skills along with a curiosity to learn about new technologies/channels, expertise in public relations, relationship-building, and strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once.
Responsibilities:
Execute internal campaigns that keep associates informed, inspired, and connected.
Support content creation for newsletters, town halls, internal and external events, culture initiatives, organizational updates, and leadership messages.
Support external storytelling to build brand awareness and strengthen reputation in the market.
Coordinate with PR agencies, from reviewing press releases to preparing media responses and talking points.
Assist identifying media opportunities and managing interviews and press events.
Partner with internal and external partners to determine needs and provide creative, effective solutions.
The Successful Candidate will have:
Excellent writing and storytelling skills in both English and Spanish
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience working with agencies and managing multiple stakeholders
Familiarity with a variety of communication channels (Gmail, Zoom, Slack, etc.)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively across organizations and levels
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to execution
Ability to proactively problem solve and self-motivate
Curiosity to ask insightful questions, listen to others, and learn
Bias to action, even with limited guidance
Openness to regular and candid feedback
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
A least 5 years of experience in Corporate Communications, PR or related roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in Communications
1+ years of experience with GSuite
