We're seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Director of Recruiting Strategy to lead our global talent acquisition initiatives, with a particular focus on technical talent. This role will drive our ambitious hiring goals while elevating Capital One's position as an employer of choice in an evolving talent market. The ideal candidate will combine data-driven decision making with experimental approaches to transform our recruiting capabilities and drive recruiter productivity.
The Ideal candidate will lead or be a strategic partner on behalf of the Technical Recruiting Organization in the following ways:
Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop and implement comprehensive staffing strategies aligned with Capital One's global expansion goals
Lead workforce planning initiatives as they relate to recruiting (e.g. hiring forecasts and resource allocation) across technical functions
Partner with business units to forecast hiring needs and develop strategic staffing plans
Design and execute innovative sourcing strategies to meet aggressive hiring targets
Create and optimize talent market intelligence frameworks
Develop and implement strategies to improve time-to-fill and cost-per-hire metrics
Recruiting Innovation & Experimentation
Design and implement experimental recruiting approaches to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Lead pilot programs to test new sourcing channels and assessment methodologies
Develop metrics and analytics frameworks to measure experiment outcomes
Scale successful initiatives across the global recruiting organization
Market Intelligence & Analysis
Build and maintain comprehensive talent market intelligence capability
Analyze competitor hiring patterns and talent strategies
Identify emerging talent pools and markets
Create predictive models for talent availability and cost
Recruiter Productivity & Performance
Implement tools and processes to increase recruiter efficiency and share with the broader Talent Acquisition organization
Develop performance metrics and benchmarks
Create training programs to enhance recruiter capabilities
Design and implement productivity tracking systems
Events & Engagement
Develop strategic event strategies for technical talent acquisition
Create innovative virtual and in-person recruiting programs
Build relationships with key technical communities and organizations
Design high-impact employer branding initiatives as it relates to technical recruiting in partnership with our Talent Marketing team

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 8 years in recruiting, human capital consulting, human resources or business operations
At least 8 years of experience in a consultative role
At least 5 years of experience with people leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree or MBA
Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification
At least 10 years of client facing experience
At least 10 years of experience in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting
At least 10 years of experience in strategic consulting
At least 8 years using data to conduct an analysis and present results to various stakeholders
At least 8 years of experience in people management
Experience with recruiting systems

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $234,000 - $267,100 for Sr. Director, RecruitingCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
