As a Senior Business Analyst at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to build data-driven optimization across our full spectrum of employer brand & marketing touchpoints to deliver on our business objectives. You will team up with world-class professionals and focus on developing and testing strategies across our digital channels. We manage the broad ecosystem of touchpoints required to build awareness and affinity for Capital One as an employer and help candidates make an informed decision to apply to Capital One. Our team executes marketing campaigns, creates compelling content, hosts engaging events, and conducts market research. You will sit at the intersection of it all - measuring impact and optimizing for the future.
General Responsibilities:
Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic performance marketing recommendations and/or channel-specific marketing optimizations
Product: Partner with product managers to activate product strategy as part of our overall marketing technology architecture
Marketing: Support Capital One’s talent marketing efforts and their strategic intent. Help build targeted insights to inform the experimental design and analysis for new and ongoing marketing initiatives to enable campaign, partner, and platform successes (both domestic and abroad).
Execution: Involve problem frame-works, develop hypotheses, test, analyze, develop solutions, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring plan
Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One Talent Acquisition including but not limited to: IT, Recruiting, Operations, Risk, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous analytic performance marketing of Capital One’s employer brand
Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: The ideal candidate should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business
Strong communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal, cooperation and negotiation skills
Clear results orientation: Display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. The ideal candidate should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment
Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment
Basic Qualifications:
At least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
1+ years of experience in Statistical model building
1+ years of experience in market research
1+ years of experience in SQL querying
2+ years of experience in business analysis
1+ years of experience in consulting

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $111,200 - $126,900 for Sr. Business AnalystCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
