Senior Associate, Social Strategy & Innovation

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented social media professional to join Capital One’s Brand Social Team as a Senior Associate, leading core enterprise social media initiatives and Capital One’s social media innovation program. You will be responsible for identifying new platform capabilities and shaping strategies that support enterprise and line of business marketing, deliver on Brand objectives, and protect the brand. 

Successful candidates will have excellent written and and oral communication skills and direct experience working in social media marketing within a professional setting. 

What you’ll do 
● Implement enterprise social strategies to support consumers through their financial journey

● Build and execute a social media innovation agenda that ensures we’re regularly exploring and testing new opportunities to increase scale and impact by taking the brand into new platforms and new creative approaches 
● Optimize enterprise short-form video social platform strategies supporting: TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels, and Snapchat 
● Develop creative briefs and work in partnership with Creative, Legal and Content/Channel Strategy partners, providing clear feedback, supporting governance reviews, editorial calendar planning, and publishing 
● Lead and/or contribute to special projects and real-time social media engagement opportunities for select campaign activations to create memorable consumer experiences and deepen engagement 
● Support documentation of best practices and guidelines for Capital One’s social presences as part of the Social Media Center of Excellence 
● Create learning opportunities to grow the acumen/expertise social media practitioners across the company 
● Facilitate relationships between Capital One and social media platform partners and sales teams 
● Lead the Brand team’s Capital One’s associate social media advocacy program, including content strategy, associate activation, recruitment, recognition, and reporting to increase brand awareness, social sharing and engagement 
● Contribute to a positive, collaborative and fun team environment

Basic Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience 
● At least 2 years of experience with social media marketing 
● At least 2 years of content development experience 

Preferred Qualifications 
● At least 1 year of experience in social advocacy programming or social media copywriting 
● Experience with Sprinklr and publishing content natively on TikTok, YouTube or Snap 
● Experience in public relations, marketing communications, or crisis management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Associate, Brand

McLean, VA: $94,600 - $107,900 for Sr. Associate, Brand

New York, NY: $103,200 - $117,800 for Sr. Associate, Brand

Richmond, VA: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Associate, Brand

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
