Capital One is seeking a motivated professional for a Principal Associate position inCard Partnerships Finance.As a Principal Associate in Card Partnerships Finance, you will work in an exciting growth business within the credit card segment and serve in a leading role supporting our Bass Pro Cabelas (CLUB) Card Partnership, a strategic Credit Card Partnership in Capital One’s portfolio. The ideal candidate will provide strong financial leadership across the entire P&L, influencing both internal and external growth and efficiency efforts. The role will emphasize problem-solving, relationship building, and influence competencies as you navigate the intersection of credit card economics and client relationship management to effectively:
Partner with leadership and business teams to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the credit card program
Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights
Develop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiences
Effectively manage deliverables under both open-ended and tight timelines
Challenge current processes in order to be more proactive, effective and efficient
GeneralResponsibilities:
Financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management
Strategic partnership to provide business partners with financial impacts of different acquisition and portfolio strategies
Assist in development of presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences and clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teams
Address and deliver on ad-hoc requests and special projects, often in an ambiguous environment
Independently manage and prioritize workload
Demonstrate a passion to learn and continuously develop traditional FP&A and technical skills
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 3 years’ experience in financial analysis
At least 3 years’ experience with financial modeling
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative major (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering)
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) Accounting, Finance, or Economics
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
4+ years’ experience in financial analysis
4 +years’ experience with financial modeling
3+ years' experience in technology or financial services
3+ years' experience partnering with internal stakeholders
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
SQL and Python skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Financial AnalystCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
