The Line of Business/Business Area Learning (LOB/BA) Team is seeking a delivery lead who can bring strategic and innovative ideas to connect and engage the team.  In this horizontal role, you will guide strategy & delivery for the team. The ideal candidate has proven experience leading teams and cross-functional team projects and processes in a well-managed way. They should be excited about the opportunity to influence strategic direction and decisions that impact all our lines of businesses and business areas using a data-backed approach. We are looking for a strategic thinker who can distill many ideas into a high impact, prioritized set of problem statements, craft a go forward recommendation and project plan for tackling, make prioritization recommendations to the LOB/BA Learning Lead and Leadership Team, and drive cross-functional work across Capital One U. You will also help drive the well-managed execution of our team’s strategy by partnering to refine and operationalize OKRs, manage various work streams, lead multiple projects time and deliver on critical change management processes. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Forge continued connection across our different business areas in key focus areas such as learning strategy planning, data synthesis and recommendations, associate experience strategy, and team operations

  • Partner closely with the LOB/BA Leadership Team on change management approaches that influence and drive cross-functional work across our offerings

  • Refine and optimize our data-backed, consistent approach to evaluate business offerings and support by getting the team on a rhythm and iterating on our operating model

  • Drive the ongoing creation of a consistent, highest quality content library to support leaders and associates across all lines of businesses and business areas

  • Provide leadership delivery support to the LOB/BA Learning Team lead to advance the LOB/BA Learning strategy and provide direction to team-wide processes. 

  • Develop & drive a roadmap to support transformation efforts, and generally evolve how we plan & prioritize work.

  • Support the LOB/BA Learning Lead and Leadership Team to develop a point of view on where the businesses across Capital One are going and what the future of business area learning is across the industry

  • Support the well managed execution of our Associate Recognition and People Leader Development Strategies 

  • Help lead and guide team in engagement and enablement activities including AAS analysis, team communications and connection pod meetings

  • Planning for and executing on full team and leadership team routines; facilitating meetings where needed.

  • Identify best practices on engagement models and stakeholder interaction with key groups who interact with our team 

  • Connect across our LOB/BA Learning teams to drive work including project planning and monitoring, reporting out on results/milestones, and evaluating success

  • Lead and guide team engagement activities including AAS analysis, team communications, committees, and our team meeting forums

  • Connect across our broader Capital One U team on department-wide initiatives (e.g., TM/PM, communications)

  • Serve as a people leader to assist with the above efforts, empowering and inspiring the team to deliver their best work each day

  • Balance the needs of the organization, leaders, and associates to deliver against a robust cross-functional agenda

  • Utilize impeccable judgment, relationship building skills, and customer focus

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of project, process, or program management, client facing/consulting experience, or a combination 

  • At least 2 years of experience in Google Suite products (Sheets, Slides, Docs)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of people leadership experience

  • At least 5 years of program management, client facing/consulting experience, or a combination 

  • At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting

  • At least 2 years of experience in a horizontal/delivery function

  • At least 2 years of experience in learning and development

  • Significant experience analyzing metrics, trends, and survey data, and using them to make strategic changes

  • Knowledge and experience utilizing project management tools and techniques (Jira)
