As Capital One builds on our momentum to resign risk management, our team has a unique vantage point seated at the intersection of this transformative work.
The team is seeking a Principal Associate to drive the well-managed execution of Board reporting processes our team owns. In this role, you will partner with ERO Chief of Staff team leadership and serve as a critical liaison with subject matter experts across ERO and in Credit and Financial Risk (CFRM), as well as our partners in Governance & Securities (GovSec), gaining exposure to senior leaders and their teams.
If you are eager to learn more about our company’s governance practices and play a role in elevating risk-related matters to our senior most leaders and the Board, this role is a great fit.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end processes that enable the development and delivery of the quarterly Integrated Risk Management Report (IRMR), Capital One’s primary risk report for the Board of Directors, which contains the aggregate risk profile for the Company and a view of each risk category
Enable the well-managed delivery of ERO-owned reports and presentations to the Board, ensuring the highest quality product and audit-ready documentation
Lead the processes that support second line’s sub-certification and attestation for SEC reporting
Partner horizontally across all three lines of defense and with GovSec to communicate updates and support broader deadlines
Author, review, and continuously enhance governance systems (e.g., tools, templates, job aids, and processes)
Support broader governance and Board initiatives the ERO Chief of Staff owns
