Capital One’s Community Finance team originates debt and equity to support affordable housing development. Community Finance provides debt financing and invests in low-income housing credits through proprietary and multi-fund equity fund structures. The Loan Equity Administration team is responsible for the daily activities of the CF Loan and Equity operations  and the Community Impact & Investment (CII) Teams (Loan Closing, Loan Booking, Construction Funding, Perm Loans and Equity Administration  to ensure the accuracy of loan and LIHTC equity assets from the closing process through payoff and working with several internal partners to ensure a scalable and well-managed business.  

The Loan and Equity Administration Booking and Serving associate will report to the Booking and Closing Team Lead and process monetary and non-monetary transactions related to debt and equity deals on the system of record (ACBS).  

Primary Responsibilities may include: 

  • Process monetary (draw downs, pay downs, interest payments, capital calls) and non-monetary transactions on construction and equity portfolio ensuring service levels are met in terms of timeliness, accuracy, quality and customer service.

  • Utilize lessons learned and previous experience to perform research and adjustments to loan system data.

  • Communicate with peers and business partners regarding transactions and exceptions.

  • Work with Commercial partners to reconcile and prove daily totals

  • Monitor reports on the CF portfolio as necessary, including daily and monthly activity reports and metrics

  • Communicate with the Commercial Loan Platform team and manager as necessary regarding system issues, reports and modifications/enhancements

  • Effectively and appropriately communicate and escalate problems/issues, updates on daily workflow, associate performance and issue resolution

  • Prepare payoff information as needed

  • Clear exceptions as needed and respond to audit requests

  • Other duties as assigned

Overall, in this role, it will be important to be a learner -- curious and willing to learn new things (including beyond immediate area of focus/expertise) and comfortable with a fluid feedback (seeking, receiving, and giving) environment.  Influence and communication are also especially significant; the ability to influence both external and internal customers to achieve positive outcomes, including under difficult circumstances, is key to the opportunity.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification

  • At least 3 years of Loan Closing, Loan Servicing, Construction Loan, or LIHTC equity experience, or a combination

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience

  • 4+ years of Loan Closing or Loan Servicing experience or a combination of the two

  • 2+ years of experience reviewing loan or legal documentation or a combination of the two

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $80,800 - $92,200 for Sr. Process Manager


McLean, VA: $88,800 - $101,300 for Sr. Process Manager










Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
