Technology Specialist
Summary:
- To provide technical assistance by answering questions and resolving problems on the organization’s computer hardware, systems software, applications software, Network, Printer and all other computer related problems.
- To generate the reports and integrate sources through automation for vulnerability assessment and penetration testing activities.
General Responsibilities:- DeskSide Support
- Installs, configures and upgrades new hardware or software systems or components, ensuring integration with existing network system
- Attending customer inquiries, diagnosing problems and providing solutions remotely and/or onsite
- Escalate requests, especially pertaining to network connections, to the appropriate party, as needed. Includes coordinating user access for staff to the US team
- Provides operational support for the organization's information systems and peripheral equipment, such as servers, desktops, printers and storage devices
- Take on projects that are delegated by the line manager
- Assist the Sr. IT Specialist in organizing, planning the daily IT Operations and their Shift Coverage
- SME that will support inquiries coming from fellow IT Coordinators
- May be assigned / rotated across related sub-functions including but not limited within the IT Department
- Other job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time
- IT Infrastructure
- Installs, configures and upgrades new hardware or software systems or components, ensuring integration with existing network systems
- Diagnosing network problems and providing solutions remotely and/or onsite.
- Escalate Issues and requests, especially pertaining to network connections, to the appropriate party, as needed. Includes coordinating with ENOS and WINTEL US team.
- Onboarding User Printer Access from IT Service Request and provides operational support for the organization's information and network systems such as servers, desktops, printers and storage devices
- Take on projects that are delegated by the line manager.
- Attends regular meeting and handles the documentation and guidelines of Printer Access and Deletion
- SME that will support inquiries coming from fellow IT Coordinators regarding Network, Firewall and Print Server Management
- Maintains and Support Audio and Visual Equipment within the existing network environment
- Vulnerability remediation - coordinate and perform vulnerability remediation based on “Beyond Support Vulnerability Diagnostics” (currently proactively maintaining machines while they are not accessible remotely. Future state might require a change in vulnerability notification)
- SLA compliance - Ensure compliance to uptime SLA (24 hour response, TBD hour resolution). The Test environment is secondary to production environment (Derek to outline)
- Vulnerability Specialist
- Vulnerability monitoring to alert Support team if a machine loses connectivity or
experiences an error scenario - Vulnerability remediation - coordinate and perform vulnerability remediation system hardening to mitigate Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).
- Troubleshooting & resolution - Perform troubleshooting to diagnose & resolve connectivity or OS issues (including vulnerabilities)
- Software Upgrades - Coordinate software release upgrades as directed by partners
- Service Level Agreement (SLA) Compliance - Ensure compliance to uptime SLA (24 hour response, x hour/s resolution). The Test environment is secondary to production environment
- May be assigned / rotated across related sub-functions including but not limited within the IT Department
- Other job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- College Graduate, preferably Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering degree
- Professional Experience:
- At least 2 Years in the related field
- Vulnerability Specialist:
- Solid understanding of IT security technologies, and particularly security technologies.
- 2-3 years direct experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration
testing. - 1+ years working in an IT related field.
- 2+ years in an information security related field.
Basic Qualifications:
- IT Infrastructure
- Knowledge in Printer Server Management
- Advantage but not required
- Fortinet Firewall
- Comptia Network+
- CCNA Certified
- Vulnerability Specialist
- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Capable of communicating risk to leadership.
- Independent resilience to initiate, follow-up, and ensure the completion of tasks with internal team and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills, with a focus on providing clarity of remediation efforts to both system owners and leadership.
- A 'can do' attitude team player who works well under pressure and with dispersed groups, worldwide.
- Experienced in ticketing system such as ServiceNow (SNOW)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent judgment, and possess a passion for continuous learning.

- Proficient in Google Workspace
- Technical Troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge in ServiceNow or Other Platform
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Amenable to work on-site
Preferred Qualifications:- Vulnerability Specialist
- CompTIA Security+ , comptia a+ and comptia network+
- Sound knowledge in ITIL, IT operations, project methodology, and tools.
- CISP and/or CISM certification is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge with JAMF/SCCM/Intune/Aternity
- Knowledge and ability to write scripts in powershell/bash/python equivalent
- Advanced knowledge of Mac & Windows troubleshooting
