As part of our Enterprise Generative AI Platform team, you will help lead that transformation.
We’re looking for a visionary and technically fluent Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our Foundation Model Hosting platform, the critical infrastructure layer that enables fast, performant, and scalable access to LLMs and foundation models for developers at Capital One. You will work closely with engineering, AI research, and platform teams to build highly optimized compute products that power GenAI workloads across Capital One. This role is central to enabling other teams to reliably access inference and serve intelligent applications at scale.
In this role as a Product Manager on the Enterprise Generative AI Platform product team, you’ll be instrumental in driving the development and adoption of cutting-edge AI capabilities across the enterprise. You will collaborate closely with engineering, research, and business teams, acting as the voice of both customers and internal stakeholders. Your leadership will empower teams to build innovative, scalable solutions while navigating strategic, technical, and regulatory considerations.
The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about AI technology and deeply empathizes with customer needs. They are comfortable in conversation with stakeholders ranging from technical customers to senior leadership.

Work autonomously in an agile environment, to conduct research and develop features that utilize new and evolving technology

By actively participating in horizontal forums, you’ll harness a network of trusted relationships among tech teams, designers, key internal stakeholders and partner teams
You’ll articulate a succinct product roadmap to deliver business value and share with with stakeholders, elevating your team’s results and becoming a product matter expert
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and communicate the product vision for the AI Foundation Model Gateway.
Prioritize the product backlog to maximize business and customer outcomes.
Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design.
Maintain a healthy backlog of work and play a critical role in many agile ceremonies.
Serve as the connection between customers, Capital One’s mission, and your team.
We want you if you are:
A strategic product thinker who thrives on solving complex platform problems for technical users.
Understand the needs of AI application developers, ML engineers, and AI researchers.
Have experience building developer platforms, ML infrastructure, cloud-native compute, or high-scale API services.
Comfortable engaging with engineering teams on topics like performance, security, and system design, even if you’re not writing code.
Adaptable, curious, and can quickly ramp up on emerging technologies like LLMs, generative AI infrastructure, and related advancements.
Experienced working in an Agile environment.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Highly collaborative and have the ability to influence and lead.
Basic Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience working in Product Management
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
5+ years of product management experience in developer tools, AI or cloud infrastructure, or AI & ML products.
Demonstrated success launching AI & ML-powered platforms or services.
Strong working knowledge of Generative AI technologies (including LLMs), model serving and inference, and model development lifecycles.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Cambridge, MA: $193,000 - $220,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product ManagementCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
