As a Principal Associate in Product Management, you will help define and deliver products that solve critical customer and business problems. You will partner closely with design, technology, and business stakeholders to shape requirements, execute roadmaps, and measure outcomes. This is a hands-on role where you will own features or workstreams end-to-end while developing broader product skills under the guidance of senior product leaders.
In this role, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which we consider to be the foundation for successful Product management at Capital One:

Key Responsibilities:
Drive discovery and definition of product features by partnering with customers, stakeholders, and design.
Translate business goals into user stories, epics, and requirements.
Own execution of specific workstreams within a broader product roadmap.
Partner with technology teams on backlog management, sprint planning, and delivery.
Define and track success metrics; analyze results to inform iterations.
Communicate progress, risks, and learnings to stakeholders and leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems)
At least 3 years of experience working in Product Management.
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ Years of experience in financial services, technology, or other highly regulated industries.
Demonstrated ability to translate customer or business problems into product requirements or user stories.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and backlog management tools (e.g., JIRA).
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with comfort using data to inform decisions.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to collaborate across teams.
Exposure to end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery to launch and iteration.
