At Capital One India, we solve fundamental business problems at scale using advanced analytics, data science and machine learning. We specialize in deriving valuable insights about various aspects of the business - including product and process design, consumer behavior, regulatory and credit risk, and much more - from large volumes of data to build cutting edge patentable products at an industrial scale. 

Capital One is looking for business analysts to drive our foray into autonomous and intelligent data products that solve the full gamut of business and analytical needs. What are we looking for?

• Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problemsolving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation

• Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: He/she should be tenaciousdecision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business

• Strong communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Clear results orientation: Display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment

• Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamicenvironment.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve forthem using business, statistical and data analysis to make strategic or tacticalrecommendations

• Product: Conceptualize and develop world class data products leveraging MachineLearning on structured and unstructured data.

• AI and Risk management: Build and validate statistical and machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation and implementation. In addition, develop new ways of identifying weak spots in model predictions earlier and with more confidence than the best available methods

• Execution: Involve problem frameworks, develop hypotheses, test and analysis,solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts anddevelop a monitoring plan

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Science  or M.TECH or M.TECH Dual Degree or M.A  Economics or MSQE degree with an expected graduation date of 2026

• Successful completion of the JEE Advanced or GATE or CUET PG or ISI - MSQE entrance exam

• Successful completion of Capital One's Campus Interview
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Data Analysis and Statistical Modeling & Forecasting 

• Machine Learning solutions development

• Benchmark existing solutions against state-of-the-art decision-making systems

• Web and Customer experience analytics 

• Data mining and pattern recognition analyses

• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R
