Principal Associate, Learning Consultant

As part of the Learning & Development team you will work closely with business leaders and HR staff to consult, design, develop, deliver, manage and analyze learning experiences for associates. You will play a critical role in making sure our learning experiences are designed with user and business objectives in mind. In this role you will create and communicate the product vision for the learning technology you own. You will be responsible for working from the customer backwards to make sure the product provides the optimal user experience. You will partner with vendors, HR Tech, business leaders, and learning stakeholders from across the organization to manage the product backlog and feature requests. In addition, the Associate who fills this role should have a focus on delivering efficient, reliable, resilient, scalable, and high performing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Consulting: Work with business clients to determine training and performance management needs.

• Identify and report the impacts of initiatives on overall performance and organizational effectiveness.

• Partner with diverse teams to develop and implement learning strategies to the extended enterprise.

• Report and evaluate training programs

• Effective project/organization management, able to see strategic pictures and prioritize independently.

• Autonomously solve problems through critical thinking and implementing through resolution.

• Strong customer focus, anticipating customer needs and partnering to make decisions that have a positive impact

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

• At least 2 years of experience in Training Design or at least 2 years of experience in Development Delivery or a combination

• At least 2 years of experience in client consulting

• At least 1 year of experience in Project or Program Management or a combination

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Training Design and Development Delivery

• 3+ years of experience in client consulting

• 2+ years of experience in project management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $108,900 - $124,300 for Learning Consultant

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
