Joyce's story: Carving her own path in tech

Joyce Solano spends a lot of time thinking about how technology impacts people’s lives. As a vice president of Brand at Capital One, she makes sure customers and businesses understand how Capital One technology can better serve them. She also serves as a Lesbians in Tech board member, a national organization that builds a more inclusive world for technologists.

Joyce’s career has taken her from Silicon Valley startups to Capital One, where she uses her experience to carve her own path in tech and lift up other women along the way.

“I’ve found it’s incredibly important to support and prepare other women and allies to face some of the systemic barriers in front of us,” Joyce said. “It’s the right time to get involved.”

Read on to learn how Joyce has dismantled barriers and created her own career path.
