Sr. Client Strategist

Client Services Strategist:

You’re a trusted marketing consultant at heart. You have a passion for building deep partnerships with a diverse set of clients and concepting strategic marketing proposals founded in data, insights, industry knowledge and best practices to meet business goals. You can identify and understand client needs and work strategically with other marketing experts to provide thoughtful solutions that deliver measurable results. You’re familiar with a variety of different marketing disciplines - from digital marketing channels, to content marketing, to out of home or event activations. And you’re looking for a new role where you can use your passion for marketing and partnerships to be part of something bigger - to help others.

As a Client Services Strategist on the Talent Marketing team, you’ll be responsible for creating and activating marketing strategies on behalf of our Recruiting leaders that generate quality applications for roles at Capital One. You’ll develop relationships directly with recruiting leadership, while acting as a trusted Talent Marketing consultant. You’ll be their primary point of contact - managing expectations, objectives and timelines. You’ll lead strategic planning, pitch campaigns and manage approvals. You’ll communicate campaign performance, as well as industry insights and thought leadership, and you’ll work on a highly collaborative team where you help educate key stakeholders across the enterprise. 

What we’re looking for:

  • A strategic consultant with demonstrated experience managing mid-size client accounts who can easily cultivate partnerships with key Recruiting partners and business leaders

  • A skilled marketing practitioner who provides thought leadership on marketing strategies, shares best practices, and delivers innovative solutions to drive leads and promote our talent brand

  • A collaborator who can effectively work with internal marketing counterparts to holistically build strategies and plan campaigns, while also aligning across the organization with key stakeholders  to drive collaboration, integration and shared accountability

  • A storyteller who sees data as an incredibly powerful tool for connecting people with performance, who has a strong focus on measurement, and who can glean insights from data to develop deep performance recommendations

  • Have a clear understanding of marketing channels, proven experience concepting marketing  strategies to deliver to business goals and ability to gain buy-in from client partners

  • Engage clients in forward-looking program planning, surfacing new marketing ideas and tactics to drive growth

  • Leverage data to inform decisions and connect others with campaign performance

  • Take initiative, aren’t afraid to fail, ask thoughtful questions, and constantly seek better ways of working, communicating and delivering

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience

  • At least 3  years client relationship management

  • At least 2 years marketing experience at an agency or client side

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in financial services or other highly regulated industry

  • 3+ years paid advertising strategy experience

  • 3+ years at a national brand or advertising agency
