As a member of the Technology team at Capital One, you will drive transformation of our open source and software delivery practices as part of the Delivery Experience organization. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s performance. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key stakeholders across the company. Bring a combined focus on developer experience and highly effective risk management to our Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Open Source management
Evolve the SDLC to reflect our Agile and DevOps best practices and CI/CD capabilities: modernizing and automating risk mitigation practices
Lead the Open Source Office: redesigning consumption and contribution processes, evaluating candidates for open source publication, managing Capital One’s OS community engagement
Act as a highly functioning change agent and leader for the organization to effectively spot the need for change and/or lead the implementation efforts
Provide development/effectiveness engagements with business area leadership on software development practices, processes and oversight
Understand the relationship between engineering, product management, and risk management functions within a corporate environment
The successful candidate will:

Have experience managing highly-visible projects which require the ability to manage cross-functional team members, remove obstacles, and influence appropriately

Model the right behaviors for the team and helps create a shared sense of leadership and accountability within the team
Navigate easily between technology and business topics and has a strong understanding of major technology trends
Have a burning desire to learn and grow
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
At least 7 years of experience in Project or Process management
At least 4 years of experience in software delivery
At least 4 years of experience managing executive stakeholders across different business functions
10+ years of experience in Managing IT projects
10+ years of experience in Process, Project or Portfolio Management
5+ years of Technology Risk Management or Technology Control Compliance
5+ years of experience with Agile Delivery
