Technology Program/Project Coordinator

Capital One's Technology Resiliency and Recovery team is hiring! The end goal for the Resiliency and Recovery Practice (R&R) is to make Capital One a Technology leader in delivering ‘always on’ applications that support the best customer experience possible.  We are looking for team members with a passion for executing innovative programs and ensuring resilience within the enterprise.

Candidates must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners vertically and horizontally throughout the organization.  Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to integrate into a dynamic agile environment are essential to succeeding in this role.  This individual must display strong leadership skills and be able to drive and motivate a team in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects.


General Responsibilities:

  • Liaise between governance / regulatory programs and IT personnel

  • Create and validate processes including governance controls to monitor regulatory compliance of IT systems

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and build automation services and work with teams to implement

  • Manage and monitor recovery and resiliency performance tests (business continuity, disaster recovery, operational resiliency)

  • Collaborate with other tech leads and support teams to ensure integrated end-to-end availability, reliability, and performance during resilience exercises

  • Design and produce metrics used to measure application resiliency efficiency and effectiveness; analyze data to identify trends

  • Analyze, identify, and manage data with attention to detail; strong skills with Google Sheets/Excel

  • Provide subject matter expertise on processes when representing the department in projects and other meetings


Basic Qualifications: 

  • At least 3 years of experience in enterprise technology program management, continuity or DR initiatives

  • At least 3 years of experience working on disaster recovery, business continuity, testing or technology teams


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience

  • Experience in a Business Continuity Management role

  • Experience implementing and governing resiliency related controls and processes

  • Experience with Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery Testing

  • Experience with AWS/Azure/Google cloud platforms
