The Cyber Governance and Risk Portfolio Manager ensures that our technology investments and strategic business goals are tightly coupled. A successful Portfolio Manager prioritizes and tracks our organization’s many initiatives, keeps top management informed of progress and impediments, and develops and manages sound business practices including budget, staffing, and organizational operations. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to ensure we deliver tangible business value in line with our ever evolving business objectives, so that our cyber investments help our customers succeed.
In this role you will:
Work closely with business leaders to articulate and capture their vision, translating it into objectives and initiatives
Partner with organizational leaders to align roadmaps and epics with business strategy
Develop and execute the planning process, including: prioritizing initiatives, roadmapping, managing capacity, opportunities, strategic risks, issues and conflicts
You will bring skills and experience in strategic planning, organizational change management, project management and communication to influence our senior leaders and evolve the entire organization to be strategic, outcome driven, and optimized in pursuit of our goals.
Drive governance and coordinate periodic reviews, decisions, re-prioritization, identify opportunities and refine initiatives
Ensure end to end execution of business processes through multiple enterprise systems for effective tracking, measurement, reporting and visualization
Continuously improve and refine the management framework driving efficiency and maturity while minimizing administrative overhead and complexity
Proactively identify appropriate resolve impediments and use networks of peers and formal channels (including escalation if required)
Facilitate teamwork and continuous improvement of the team's agile practices
Introduce new and advanced practices to improve the team and their delivery
Demonstrate ability to balance data with other factors when making decisions
Understand upstream/downstream dependencies and support the team in risk management
Utilize team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and work with the team to continuously improve
Handle wide range of ever-changing responsibilities
The ideal candidate should:
Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
Display teamwork, strong communication, and be able to negotiate and lead across all levels
Create transparency and foster relationships
Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive process and portfolio efforts
Demonstrate analytical and quantitative skills to establish metrics and utilize data to measure operational efficiency, team health, and organizational performance
Thrive in being able to identify and manage the white space to develop creative solutions to manage that space and quickly drive consensus-based approaches across a wide range of stakeholders
Demonstrate ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Exhibit a high degree of organizational skills and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
At least 6 years of experience in Project Management
At least 3 years of experience managing technology teams in an Agile environment
At least 3 years of experience in Portfolio Management
SAFe certified or experience with other scaled agile frameworks
Agile experience with Governance, or Risk, or Compliance, or HR, or Legal, or Finance teams
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, or Business Management, or Process Management, or Project Management, or Risk Management, or Computer Science, or Information Systems
