Job Description – Canada Site Assessment Program Assessor

Job Title:   CSAP Assessor

Responsible to:   Canada Third Party Governance

Responsible for: Identifying and reporting on potential third party compliance, operational and contractual risks to Capital One Canada in a timely manner. This role will also oversee and report on immediate third party risk remediation activities and status on longer term risk reduction strategies as it relates to third party/outsourced activities to relevant stakeholders in Capital One Canada.

As a CSAP Third Party Assessor your role and responsibilities will be:

Performing focused, moderately complex security assessments of key third parties to Capital One, and provide reports on the results of third party reviews Establish, build and maintain positive relationships with third party information and security contacts Identify and escalate changes that will affect CSAP standards, and procedures. Understand and maintain current knowledge about the latest techniques and motivations of information security threats Assisting management and/or other stakeholders in the review, development and remediation of findings relevant to assessments Gather risk related data from internal / external sources in preparation of assessments Produce reports or presentations that outline overall supplier risk performance and trending, describe individual findings, explain risk positions, or recommend changes in a timely manner Track and monitor remediation activities Set standards and guidelines for viable remediation evidence Meet with stakeholders to answer queries related to risk exposure

Have a working knowledge of all supplier categories to assess risk materiality and implications of findings Maintain relationships with Compliance and Legal counterparts to ensure working knowledge of legislation / regulation and changing trends Create and maintain relationships with Corporate Information Assurance Third Party Management team and other reliant security groups (e.g. Business Risk Office), involved in management and mitigation of risk Update professional knowledge and skills with a view to Improving the CSAP standard Reducing time of assessment Reducing report writing duration Work with horizontal TPM team to drive cross functional benefit and improvement

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce or Science
  • At least 1 year experience working in a cross-functional environment, ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed effectively
  • At least 1 year experience managing vendors

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience designing, building, managing and improving processes
  • Experience partnering with IT in Agile environments
