We are currently seeking a Talent Lead to join Design’s Experience Strategy team. We are passionate about keeping our Design teams well managed so that they can deliver world-class products that redefine our customers’ day-to-day financial activities. If you are enthusiastic about building and executing talent strategies that enhance associate experiences and support associate growth, we would love to hear from you. 

You’ll be asked to handle a variety of responsibilities, including: 

  • Orchestrating and facilitating a variety of talent programming within Capital One’s Design organization 

  • Creating talent strategies, in collaboration with our partners, that will enhance the associate experience across their career path 

  • Developing and delivering impactful and scalable talent solutions that serve the needs of the business. These solutions may include, but are not limited to: hiring, onboarding, career pathing, diversity and inclusion, training/development, talent strategy and talent management, performance management, and offboarding initiatives

  • Participating in the design process (stakeholder interviews, research, analysis, and work session facilitation) and providing thought leadership to draft talent initiatives and project plans 

  • Influencing across multiple cross-functional teams to identify talent solutions that achieve shared results 

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and Design associates

  • Leading the strategic and tactical prioritization of talent initiatives and workflows

  • Driving momentum by keeping the overall work portfolio and team on track

  • Guiding and managing changes to scope, design, and delivery schedules with available resources

  • Maintaining a well managed portfolio of talent related engagements by: 

    • Defining initiative scope, objectives, and timelines

    • Identifying and managing risks and mitigation strategies

    • Organizing and ensuring appropriate communication of status, issues, forecasts, etc. to stakeholders

    • Developing deliverables and driving implementation of proposed solutions across the organization

    • Ensuring proper handoffs are conducted with the work and project work is closed out appropriately with key stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience with project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable leading presentations and facilitating learning sessions

  • Comfortable prioritizing requests and managing stakeholder expectations

  • Experience designing an end-to-end associate experience by applying design methods

  • Ability to anticipate future needs/opportunities for the business, from talent and culture perspective

  • Comfortable developing presentations and presenting findings to leadership 

  • Comfortable balancing the needs of the organization, leaders, and associates

  • Familiarity working with design or creative teams

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
