The External Affairs team is imagining potential future paths for our volunteerism and grant-making platform and is looking for a Sr. Manager, Product Management with a dynamic product mindset to lead the exploration and delivery of this next-gen philanthropic platform experience. This is a true Enterprise platform, so you will work in partnership with many stakeholders with diverse needs inside and outside the company to envision and deliver industry-leading experiences that enable the heart of Capital One’s mission and community impact to beat stronger than ever.


  • Become an expert on tools, platforms and technology related to the service of our philanthropic partners

  • Truly understand user needs and manage to results that meet them by establishing ambitious measurable objectives based on fundamental drivers by following the data

  • Identify, prioritize, and launch innovative platform features that drive impact in our communities and enhance our ability to tell the story of that impact.

  • Establish shared vision and buy-in on priorities across the company and drive product development and ideation with the input of the community impact and investment team, our CRA team, our nonprofit partners and our thousands of amazing associate volunteers.

  • Confidently lead technology delivery in support of this vision as trusted and respected partner of our community and software engineering partners.

  • Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of resources and commitments from partner teams

  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the goals can be ambiguous and the process fluid

  • You live the principles of positivity, humility, inclusivity, and sound judgment every step of the way and value diversity of thought, regardless of title or job function 

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience leading teams to deliver cross functional major initiatives in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in digital product management

  • Experience in driving ‘build vs buy’ decisions and delivering the chosen outcome.

  • Comfortably conversant in high-level technical topics related cloud-based software development

  • Experience leading the build of products with API or batch-based data movement functions

  • Understanding of data management, reporting and analytics principles

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
