Capital One’s Treasury Management Payables products are aimed at providing security, control, and reconciliation services to our broad customer base. Through our operations and technology, we enable capabilities that empower our users to move money in support of their businesses while preventing fraudulent transactions and accounting defects.
Capital One is currently in search for a Senior Manager, Treasury Management; Fulfillment Operations. This individual will be accountable for leading and developing a team of professionals toward executing the day-to-day operations associated with our Payables suite of products. Payable Operations is responsible for the daily fulfillment of multiple products as well as the management of risk, efficiency, and operational improvement of them.
This individual should have a sound understanding of Payable products, operational best practices, risk management and internal controls. The ideal candidate should be proactive in identifying and shaping business solutions in partnership with business partners; demonstrate process engineering capabilities, develop command of applicable laws and regulations, and oversee the documentation of all operational policies and procedures. In addition to directly leading a team, this position will interface with partners which include Product, Technology, Customer Service, Legal, Risk and Human Resources to drive a well managed organization with high levels of associate engagement. As a result, this position will require a high level of responsiveness and exceptional communication and organization skills.
Oversees the day-to-day activities associated with the existing Payables product suite, providing oversight and leadership to ensure well managed operational execution.
Participates in providing thought leadership and operational insights toward the development of emerging Payable products including implementation and risk mitigation strategies.
Provides people leadership that demonstrates Capital One’s mission to Inspire, Empower and Include all associates. Offers guidance and assistance toward associate development, maintains organizational awareness through transparent communication, helps to drive a training agenda and promotes a culture of problem solving. Is active in evaluating performance and makes recommendations as well as takes appropriate actions regarding personnel decisions.
Examines operational procedures to identify weaknesses in internal controls, and revises policies where appropriate. Provides strong presence in change management activities and forums to represent operational view points.
Interacts with internal/external auditors as needed to identify and remediate operational gaps or improvement recommendations.
Able to work independently as well as within team constructs and handle multiple initiatives and deadlines simultaneously in a fast paced environment. Must be well organized with great attention to detail.
Ability to build decisions based on industry knowledge and analytical insights.
Effective communication skills, including presentation capabilities which influence others toward appropriate results.
Excellent partnership competencies, including the ability to work and promote a diverse organizational structure where ideas are promoted and captured broadly.
Bachelor’s degree or Military experience
At least 6 years experience in Banking Operations
At least 5 years of Process Management experience
At least 2 years of Risk Management experience
At least 5 years of People Management experience
Master’s degree or MBA
At least 10 years experience in Banking Operations
At least 7 years of Process Management experience
At least 5 years of Risk Management experience
At least 7 years of People Management experience
PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma Certification
