As a Risk Management professional in Capital One’s Enterprise Services (ES) Risk organization, you will apply your risk management skills to the company’s Enterprise Products + Platforms (EP2) organization. You will partner with EP2 product teams in a manner that supports innovation while at the same time effectively managing risk and protecting our customers, shareholders and associates. Your contributions will drive organizational change through risk identification, measurement, analysis and reporting in order to better manage the company’s risk in an open and collaborative environment.
Enterprise Services Risk professionals are experienced and progressive individuals that operate within a highly collaborative team environment to deliver value-added risk management services to our technology savvy business partners. You will have a significant level of exposure across the business and have the opportunity to work with technology professionals to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company. Proficiency in risk management programs are key to success in this role. The successful candidate will be a solid risk management professional who understands technology functions and organizations, with strong analytical, planning, strategic thinking, organizational and communication skills.
Manage cross-functional relationships, interfacing with business partners, enterprise-wide Risk Offices, Compliance, Cyber Security, Legal and Audit to achieve complex objectives
Understand, document and analyze current-state business processes to identify potential risks, related control activities and provide recommendations to ensure processes are well-managed from a risk standpoint
Support implementing continual program enhancements based on industry standards and risk management best practices while aligning with Capital One’s strategic risk direction
Contribute to, and deliver on, presentations that aid management in understanding the current risk environment of Enterprise Products & Platforms; Present complex risks and recommendations clearly and simply at all levels of audience
Identify opportunities to develop and enhance processes, tools, templates, and job aides
At least 2 years in a Compliance, Regulatory, Audit, Legal or Risk role
At least 2 years experience in Project Management or Business Process Management (LEAN, Six Sigma)
3-5 years experience in risk management
Strong ability to influence business partners to prioritize Risk Management work
Ability to adapt to the changing circumstances of a fast-paced technology company
