Given the importance of data to running a high-tech company and its use in making the best decisions for our customers, there is significant opportunity to enhance our current external data ecosystem to improve our customer experience and ability to underwrite and serve our customers.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for expanding our ability to get results from new and untested external data. This is a white space area that touches all the great buzzwords - you’ll work with data scientists so they can build Machine Learning models.
As a Product Manager, you’ll need to collaborate with your customers (business partners, data scientists, and engineers) to understand use cases, develop a roadmap and get buy-in to bring your roadmap to life. Experience using data, building models, making decisions based on data would be incredibly valuable to this role, but it isn’t a requirement that, in a past life, you were a data scientist. Having the empathy and ability to get inside the customers’ needs and abstract the problem they are facing (and coming up with ways to address it) would also lead to success in this role.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Builds & communicates the Roadmap and Vision to stakeholders and partners
Acts as the voice of the business and customer for the team
Incorporates design thinking and analytics to inform product design
Ensures a healthy backlog
Prioritizes the Product Backlog to maximize on business and customer outcomes
Defines acceptance criteria for work
Collaborates across teams and the Product Owner community
Supports team with escalation and resolution of impediments
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 3 years of experience in digital product management
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
MBA or Master’s degree
3+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
3+ years of experience in Agile product management
