Manager, Creative Technology

Capital One Brand Creative is looking for an experienced, innovative, strategic creative leader who has managed and led creative teams. You will inspire and drive change while evolving the technology,  platforms and ways of working of the creative teams.  You know what makes creative’s tick, how they think and what they need to get work done efficiently and effectively. You will keep the Creative  department  at the cutting edge of creative technology and tools while empowering the Creative team and ensuring the Capital One brand is preserved.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and inspire the team to develop strategically-grounded, insight-driven creative tech solutions.

  • Think outside the box, especially relative to purposefully disruptive technology

  • Keep on the cutting edge of advancements in creative tools, design and new technologies

  • Lead tests and evaluate efficacy of products and service solutions.

  • Manage creative & tech talent (Art Directors, Creative Technologists and Copywriters) including a mix of full-time associates, contractors, and agencies.

  • Identify creative obstacles and pain points and quickly work to define solutions to improve efficiency.

  • Build and maintain relationships with a network of partner groups (digital, tech, cyber, etc.) to anticipate and proactively address obstacles and establish Brand Creative as a strategic thought partner.

  • Partner with new and existing vendor partners to define preferred solutions.

  • Maintain an ongoing pulse on the technology footprint of the Creative department and where, when and how we need to optimize.

  • Present and influence with a convincing and inspiring style to increase buy-in and open the door for new opportunities - both for your team and department.

  • Quickly grasp business strategies with a particular focus on finding solutions that solve marketing and creative goals

  • Empower and inspire full-time associates through coaching and help them develop in their careers.

  • Communicate effectively and impactfully to all levels of an organization

  • Drive ever increasing efficiency, throughput and effectiveness of the Creative team through technology solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience

  • At least 3 years of experience leading or working with creative teams

  • At least 2 years of experience with digital marketing platforms and their operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience as a Creative leader 

  • Understanding of full range of creative tools (i.e. Adobe CC, Figma, Process management tools)

  • Expertise in HTML5 and other coding languages

  • Prior experience with Workfront

  • Advanced experience in multiple APIs, and other digital connection protocols 

  • Proficiency in dynamic languages & web frameworks
