We are looking for a Product Leader for our Enterprise Products Technology team who is imaginative, collaborative and truly passionate around making lives better for engineers. This role provides the opportunity to see how your products and investment decisions transform our engineering community. We're looking for a product leader who cares deeply about elegantly solving the observability challenges faced by developers and operators of modern software running in the Cloud.

Responsibilities include:
Taking a customer-back and evidence based approach to defining, executing, and delivering a product roadmap and product strategy
Working with technical customers of a large platform at the center of the company
Engaging customers directly through a variety of channels to serve as the voice of the customer internally- identifying new capabilities, defining product features, and working closely with development teams to get those features incorporated
Working in a cross-functional group - closely partnering with engineering, design, operations, finance and executive teams to bring a product to life
Drive the product management practice within the organization, defining expectations and commitments.
Operationalizing product metrics for the products you own and building the business case for new investment
Influencing senior stakeholders to use our products and sharing with them the outcomes we are enabling to strengthen investment
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
Significant expertise in establishing and developing strong working relationships with all levels of associates and external parties, while maintaining appropriate levels of objectivity to their work
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a start-up like environment, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality products and applications that customers love
Expertise building multi-year product strategies and authoring business cases
Experience delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment
Technical knowledge and depth necessary to propose and influence new product and feature ideas, especially in the space of web APIs and their role in connecting the dots for a large enterprise.
Analytical and quantitative skills; experience using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
History of teamwork and a willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
At least 7 years of product management experience
At least 4 years of experience working with software engineering teams
At least 3 years of experience in people management
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
7+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
7+ years of experience in Agile or Lean product management methodologies
5+ years delivering Software as a Service (SaaS), or web API-driven products to technical customers.
Understanding of observability market and related products such as Splunk, New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, Pager Duty
Good understanding of DevOps with an understanding of how modern software is built, packaged, deployed, and observed in the Cloud.
5+ years of people management experience
3+ years experience in human-centered product discovery methods, such as design thinking and service design

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $228,500 - $260,800 for Director, Product ManagementSan Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site): $242,100 - $276,300 for Director, Product ManagementCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
