A Cyber Technology Program manager leads strategic program delivery in conjunction with a maturing scaled agile delivery organization. Provides Delivery Services for Cyber and Tech executives who share accountability for a set of Cyber products & services that protect Capital One 24X7 from the bad guys. The Technology Director advances leadership’s understanding of their roles within delivery and influences our organizational agility. They also serve as an inspirational leader who attracts and retains talent, creates high levels of energy and motivation throughout challenges, impediments and change. Their values and philosophies are well understood and are contagious in all directions organizationally, resulting in positive influence across teams and groups.
Ensures reliable and consistent delivery across the Cyber Services they support leveraging the tools and practices that best meet the needs of the teams and organization (agile, lean, PMP, Six Sigma, program management, etc); deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability and results
Measurably improves the flow of delivery through continuous improvement
Partners with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Ops, and ISO leads to proactively identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of delivery and rapidly validate (or invalidate!) those improvements.
Drives large-scale system level change, including the creation and facilitation of senior level governance and implementation meetings where needed
Deploys governance that empowers team level decision-making
Builds trusted relationships with key stakeholders and influences adoption of Agile delivery practices and norms (can have difficult and constructive conversations and push back when needed).
Applies advanced facilitation and dependency management techniques to drive cross-program and departmental planning, collaboration, and coordination.
Supports issue resolution, risk mitigation, and escalation to leadership groups.
Leads effective planning ceremonies, such as initiative refinement and PI planning, across multiple programs.
Facilitates trade-out discussions amid conflicting priorities
As a people leader, builds a vision for efficient delivery across their portfolio, creates alignment within their leadership team and broadly communicates it.
Actively coaches and improves the performance of direct reports by routinely providing clear, candid, and actionable feedback.
Consistently elevates new talent to perform in stretch roles, creating the next generation of leaders.
Celebrates individual and team successes with appropriate recognition and rewards.
Builds a culture that fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging and helps grow diverse teams.

At least 5 years of Agile experience
At least 5 years of people management experience
At least 7 years of Project Management, Process Management, or Software Delivery experience
10+ years of Project Management, Process Management, or Software Delivery experience
8+ years of Agile experience
7+ years of people management experience
3+ years of Agile coaching experience
SAFe, Lean, Agile, PMP or Six Sigma certification
