Content Writer:

You love to write. It’s your thing. You’re a gifted storyteller who sees words as an incredibly powerful tool for connecting with people. You’re skilled at writing long-form stories and snappy headlines. You understand how to use words to spur conversation, interaction and action, whether in social channels or on a website. And you’re looking for a new role where you can use your writing to be part of something bigger - to help others.

As a writer on our Talent Marketing team, you’ll help craft powerful messages that position Capital One as an employer of choice and help candidates understand #LifeatCapitalOne. Through engaging content, you’ll entice prospective candidates to consider a career with us and inspire our associates to share their stories. You’ll create long-form, blog-style storytelling, social media copy and content for our Careers website. You’ll partner in the development of our content strategy, eagerly lean-in to source the most compelling stories that align to our messaging priorities and support our evolving content needs.

What we’re looking for:

  • A storyteller, who sees words as an incredibly powerful tool for connecting with people

  • A creative problem solver with the ability to produce original, talent brand-elevating copy

  • A strong writer who is able to adapt tone and personality as they shift between writing long form content, to snackable social copy, to informational web communications

  • Someone who approaches assignments from a customer-centric perspective

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience 

  • At least 1 year of experience as a copywriter or communications specialist or a combination of both

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or Bachelor’s Degree in Communications  

  • At least 2 years of brand experience in multichannel marketing

  • At least 1 year of experience in financial services or other highly regulated industry
