Capital One Unified Communications team is actively seeking an experienced Software Developer with expertise in the technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Successful candidates will have experience with building applications / scripts that consume APIs exposed by third-party providers. Candidate will also be responsible for overall delivery of software components. As a developer, you will own end-to-end delivery of software components from inception to production. This project will entail backend programming of APIs relating to Capital One's Unified Communications Services.
In the Software Developer role you will be part of the Unified Communications team which is responsible for our real time communication services (Skype, Zoom, and Polycom), Conference Room technology (video conferencing, signage technology), and Collaborative chat technology (Slack and Hangouts Chat).
Perform development of components required by the Unified Communications team which supports all of our real time communication services (Skype, Zoom, and Polycom), Conference Room technology (video conferencing, signage technology), and Collaborative chat technology (Slack and Hangouts Chat).
Work with team to develop and maintain device configuration automation tools, end-user productivity solutions, and service related reporting and alerting tools.
Work with product owners to develop real time dashboards using application APIs, and consolidate the information into a data warehouse. Sources include video server APIs, G Suite APIs, monitoring/alerting APIs (ELK, Kibana, Pagerduty, Slack)
Build and maintain robust slack applications and bots for third-party enterprise systems using best of breed languages, frameworks, and tools.
Work with the team to maintain AWS lambda, EC2, cloud formation, and application automation
Collaborating with other platforms tech leads, ensure integrated end-to-end design and delivery
Identifying technical gaps and taking actions to completion
Perform engineering activities for performance tuning and monitoring
Support QA testing, and owning implementation to production
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
At least 5 years of experience with software development
At least 3 years of experience with REST APIs, HTTP, or OAuth
At least 1 year of experience with AWS or Public Cloud
At least 1 year of experience with application automation
At least 1 year of experience with version control solutions (GitHub)
Experience with Jenkins
Experience with Microsoft IIS
Audio Visual software development, Crestron Fusion, or Crestron control programming experience
Experience with the UIs and APIs for G Suite, Zoom, Slack, Pulse, Workday, Salesforce, GitHub, or ServiceNow
3+ years of database and query scripting
Experience with MySQL, Postgres, or Redis databases
Ability to write scalable tests, release plans, or end-user documentation
