What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a hands-on design practitioner and leader with expertise and demonstrated experience in data centered projects, data science algorithms/modeling, and data migration/ingestion user experiences. The goal of this role is to aid in the creation of complex data centric application experiences. You will be responsible for leading and designing UI’s that enable data algorithm experimentation, data collection, and the analysis of a variety of different data sets and complex visualization design.

You will work in close partnership with executives in Design, Product, Tech, Marketing, Operations, and Analytics to achieve high-value results that position design effectively to pursue and deliver innovative, connected, world-class customer-centered experiences. As a design leader, you will provide and design a holistic vision that helps advance the company's goals and objectives.

In other words, this is an opportunity for you to work in our Top of House Design team to have a profound impact on enabling a truly world-class, customer experience that simplifies the complex across platforms, workflows, and applications.

What you’ll bring:

  • You are a master at critical thinking, problem-solving, and rigor in measurement and execution.

  • You’re skilled at communication, influence, and collaboration.

  • You’re a systems thinker and orchestrator. You can effectively connect the dots between data science, model understanding and user interfaces. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional leaders to orchestrate the creation of greater customer experiences, find efficiencies across shared products and common service moments, and unlock higher order value across the enterprise.

  • You know the ins-and-outs of what’s needed to design and deliver a great experience.

  • You’re collaborative by nature and comfortable influencing across organizational and functional boundaries, and at all levels.

  • You’re comfortable tackling ambiguous/nebulous challenges in complex areas - preferably in a regulated industry such as data science or finance.

  • You love what you do. You are constantly energized by solving customer & business problems and empowering teams to deliver elegant design solutions. You’ll shape our culture with your contagious enthusiasm — and that’s what makes you a great leader.

  • You bring a comprehensive portfolio with examples that showcase your storytelling capabilities, demonstrate data design leadership and strategic vision, and show how you have influenced partners and teams to arrive at compelling product solutions.

  • You have a deep understanding of human-centered design, UX practices, and how data collection is performed, analyzed and evaluated to develop robust UX recommendations.

  • You have proven acumen in analytics, measurement, and operations

  • You have a critical eye for exceptional design quality and customer experience, and effective practices in delivering design critique and growth feedback to your team.

  • You have the ability to articulate and present the process and logic behind design decisions.

  • You have the ability to gain a deep understanding of target users, with frequent research and interactions to fuel knowledge.

  • You are experienced with design software such as Sketch and Figma.

  • You are fluent in designing for responsive web and mobile with an eye for patterns, typography, colors and interaction design best practices.

  • You are comfortable weaving together components and patterns of existing libraries to design and create high-fidelity prototypes.

  • You’re able to go from sketching to wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping with ease.

  • You are experienced at specking designs before handing off to developers explaining functionality, interaction, and edge cases.

  • You consider how your design choices scale to the content and fit within larger design systems and patterns.

  • You have experience working within established brand guidelines and design style guides.

  • You will be participating in and contributing to design workshops with internal and external stakeholders.

  • You will be crafting and conducting user testing, then synthesizing results to drive design decisions.
