Senior Vice President - Head of Strategic Sales Treasury Management

Capital One is seeking a Senior Vice President - Head of Strategic Sales Treasury Management with a background in Treasury Management sales and consulting. This candidate will be part of the Commercial Bank and Treasury Management business area, operating in a high-profile environment responsible for working closely with Treasury Management leaders and consultants to design and implement initiatives that enable the bank to realize corporate goals including increased market share, shareholder value, sales revenues and profits by meeting the deposit, treasury and investment needs of clients and their principals. 

The Role:

The Head of TM Strategic Sales will be responsible for developing a strategic and uniform approach to Treasury Management sales and consulting throughout the bank that creates a competitive advantage and enables the TM and Commercial Bank strategy. S/he will be responsible for working cross functionally and building close relationships with the Treasury Management Sales leaders and Relationship Management team and leaders to drive new business growth.

The Head of TM Strategic Sales will be expected to work closely with TM Sales leaders and TM consultants to develop and scale best practices on new Treasury Management opportunities including compelling value proposition by customer segment and product, working capital consulting, leveraging internal and external data to provide benchmarking to our customers and prospects and setting and meeting client goals. S/he will be responsible for elevating customer experience challenges and opportunities with the product, marketing, onboarding and servicing organizations to drive the strategic direction of Treasury Management at Capital One. S/he will be proactive and constructive in making decisions, and will be able to influence others with experience and fact-based insights.

The Senior Vice President will be responsible for hiring, evaluating, retaining, and developing a highly skilled, motivated workforce dedicated to promoting an innovative, client-centric, well–managed organization and to build a strong brand as a team that attracts and exports talent. This leader will also ensure an efficient and effective organizational design that provides associates line of sight to development opportunities, proactively manage change and drive context through the organization through meetings, communications and engagement with associates and partners, promote the culture and values of the organization to create a differential work environment, and be a collaborative partner, holding the organization accountable to collaboration and partnership at every level.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in financial services

  • At least 8 years of experience in treasury management sales or consulting 

  • At least 5 years of experience in a team leadership role managing a team of sales professionals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree 

  • Certified Treasury Professional

  • At least 12 years of experience in financial services

  • At least 10 years of experience in treasury management sales or consulting 

  • At least 7 years of experience in a team leadership role managing a team of sales professionals
