Technology Governance Manager

In the Capital One Software Technology Governance Manager role, you will be responsible for executing and improving Capital One Software's Information Security Management System (ISMS) implementation and compliance with ISO 27001 and NIST 800-53 rev4 Priority 1 controls, as well as overseeing overall compliance with Capital One policies and procedures. You will have a deep understanding of industry security, compliance, and operational standards and the skillset necessary to guide associates through control requirements and recommended remediations. You will also be a subject matter resource for development teams to understand how to develop product features compliant with security and privacy requirements (such as highly regulated industry requirements or federal or state laws).

General Responsibilities

  • Serve as a compliance and risk Subject Matter Expert for Capital One Software and its cloud management products (e.g. Critical Stack)
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of Capital One security, compliance, and operational standards
  • Develop knowledge of Capital One operational teams and processes across the organization
  • Guide internal team members and advisors to complete security-related legal, compliance, and other operational tasks tied to product launch
  • Work closely with product team developers to launch new product features that meet security, privacy, and compliance requirements
  • Develop new and refine existing standards and processes to meet security and compliance needs

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • At least 2 years of security experience
  • At least 2 years of compliance, audit, or remediation experience
  • At least 1 year of project management experience

Preferred qualifications

  • 3+ years of consulting experience or equivalent
  • Experience with industry-specific compliance requirements (e.g. HITRUST, PCI-DSS, GLBA, Reg E)
  • PMP certification
