As a Tax Manager at Capital One, you will lead a team to assist with the analysis and management of federal and state taxes. You will also gather information in response to document requests and research on tax issues.
General Responsibilities:
Lead a team to resolve federal and state tax questions
Analyze and interpret federal and state tax law; Continuously develops research and analysis skills for federal and state tax legislation, code, regulations
Create and validate tax scenarios for completeness and accuracy
Demonstrated ability to understand and explain taxation laws through strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Strong executive communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law
CPA
At least 2 years of experience in General tax
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
At least 7 years of general tax preparation and tax research experience
