Sr. Business Analyst - Transformation Analytics

As a Senior Business Analyst at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. Network Management is the team responsible for developing and executing Capital One’s retail branch network strategy.  As part of that organization, the Market Analytics and Programming team specifically is accountable for defining all of the physical branch experience from renovation investment strategy to analytically driven programming to include ATM and teller station requirements. The team works with Network Strategy to inform branch network decisions and processes. Additionally, our team partners with the execution teams to assess trade-offs and monitor the impacts of those changes through implementation. The team is also responsible for assessing the impact of network changes to the physical elements within the remaining footprint and interfacing with our execution partners to aid implementation of required modifications.

Responsibilities:

The right individual for this role will demonstrate strong socialization and analytical skills in working to develop the intent for transformation and programming within the existing branch network. This individual will work to integrate the desired customer experience model with the core activities associated with the physical location. The associate would be part of a team that would ensure that a store – be it a new build or a renovation—has intent that matches organizational goals, staffing, customer experience and programming.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-  Analysis:  Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations

-  Execution:  Identify or create problem frameworks, develop hypotheses, test and analysis, solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring plan

-  Partnership:  Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including:  Market Executives, Design and Construction, Network Strategy, ATM Operations and others to drive improvements in quality, volume, service, and profitability

- Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous analytic marketing & credit risk management

- Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: He/she should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business

- Strong communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills

- Clear results orientation: display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree

- At least 1 year of experience in analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s Degree

- 1+ years of experience in Statistical model building

- 1+ years of experience in market research

- 1+ years of experience in SQL querying

- 2+ years of experience in business analysis

- 1+ years of experience in consulting
