Sr. Associate, Marketing - Content Strategy (Business Cards & Payments)

Capital One, a Fortune Magazine “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is seeking an innovative and data-driven Content Strategist to help drive Business Cards & Payments content channels. This associate will play a critical role in our growth strategy, partnering regularly with other channels across Small Business Card, external agencies, partners across Product and Tech, and more. 

The Content Strategist will be a key partner in bringing our content program to life. They will need to be able to thoughtfully execute end-to-end marketing practices - from organic keyword and competitive research, to agency and editorial briefing and creative development, through results analysis to feed the next cycle of work. This associate will utilize project management best practices to deliver impactful customer experiences and turbocharge the growth of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Incorporate SEO best practices into new and existing content to improve organic rankings, traffic and new customer acquisitions

  • Support agencies and cross-functional team members while partnering with creative teams to execute breakthrough campaigns that drive brand awareness, trigger actions and build engagement with Capital One Business’ flagship products and services

  • Create creative briefs to inform upcoming tests and maintain channel creative library

  • Review performance metrics and recommendations to help prioritize and slate in site optimizations

  • Comfortable working with large data sets in Excel / Google Sheets + familiarity with common performance marketing metrics, including experience monitoring dashboards & data

  • Serve as content expert, advising partner teams on content strategies that best meet business objectives, meeting customers where they’re digesting content

  • Manage marketing creative review processes in workflow management systems

  • Flawlessly execute a well-managed governance process to ensure audit readiness for all marketing assets/content

  • Drive day-to-day management of agency partners; including building and iterating on meeting agendas, compiling takeaways and action items, communicating leadership messages to partners and handling all scheduling and logistics

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in content marketing or digital marketing

  • At least 2 years of experience in web analytics or keyword planning tools 

  • At least 1 year of experience with Google Suite applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in financial services or highly-regulated marketing

  • At least 1 year of experience in Brand strategy 

  • Proficient in SEO tools like Ahrefs, Conductor, Semrush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $99,500 - $113,600 for Sr. Associate, Marketing

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
