Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Associate—Federal Accounting and Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of multiple aspects of the Federal tax return and tax accounting processes, including calculating book/tax differences, various reconciliations and analyses, and utilizing OneSource software to complete various processes and prepare tax return forms and attachments
Preparation of quarterly estimated payments and annual extensions
Timely and effectively research Federal tax matters
Collaborate on digital transformation and automation projects
Assist with special Federal tax compliance and planning projects
Assist in the preparation of state income and franchise tax returns in numerous jurisdictions including unitary, combined and separate entities
Identify and implement value-added process improvements, and maintain required process documentation
Position reports to the Manager, Domestic Tax Compliance
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 2 years of Corporate Tax Compliance Experience in a CPA firm and/or corporate setting
Tax experience in a public accounting or financial services environment strongly preferred
MS in Tax or CPA
Software experience using the OneSource Platform, Alteryx, Tableau, Google Suite, BNA Fixed Assets, MS Office (strong skills and knowledge of Excel) and CCH IntelliConnect
Strong communication, research and writing skills
The ability to multi-task, work independently, develop new ideas and take ownership of projects
