Senior Associate, Prospect Marketing, Card Partnerships

We’re looking for a data and insights driven marketing strategist to manage partner owned channel marketing on Capital One’s rapidly growing Card Partnerships business.  This Senior Associate role will report to the head of the Prospect Marketing team and will get the opportunity to work on several of the most admired brands in the world.  For example, our current partner portfolio includes brands like Neiman Marcus, Bass Pro Shops, and Williams Sonoma.

This role is the owned channel lead for the Partnerships marketing organization, focused on the overall goal of acquiring more customers for our partners’ products. The successful candidate is customer-centric, strategically focused, data driven, and comfortable working in a white space while developing integrated marketing campaigns.  


  • Own the continuous evolution of prospect campaigns for Capital One partners: reviewing performance, identifying opportunities for improvement or testing, building out a learning agenda and executing. 

  • Launch new in-store strategies and campaigns to encourage adoption of partner products.

  • Launch new digital placements on partner owned channels informed by data and UX insights to encourage the adoption of products. 

  • Evaluate current acquisition messaging strategies, find opportunities to optimize and work with partners to execute new campaigns. 

  • Serve as the ambassador to share acquisition insights to other teams in Card & across Capital One.

  • Partner with Enterprise teams to ensure new acquisition experiences are designed to meet Partnerships needs.

  • Champion the brand, ensuring that all marketing aligns to respective brand personas, voice and style guides.

  • Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams including creative agencies, analytics, research, operations, legal and client/partner.

  • Leverages customer insights, campaign performance results and partner needs when developing marketing initiative recommendations impacting marketing plan and/or creative strategy.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a passion for leveraging data, metrics and insights to drive results and learnings, specifically in retail digital and point of sale channels.

  • Has experience working with UX designers on building and optimizing customer journeys. 

  • Thrives on collaboration, the opportunity to build in white space and the drive for results.

  • Is a highly effective communicator who can influence internal decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking.

  • Is a skilled relationship-builder who can create strong, high-leverage internal networks.

  • Can manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining excellent and accurate work.

  • Has strong communication and influence skills: verbal and written.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing or project management

  • At least 2 years experience in planning, executing and analyzing SEO or Site Strategy marketing campaigns

  • At least 2 years of experience managing creative processes, partnering with creative teams and developing creative optimization frameworks

Preferred Experience in: 

  • At least 2 years in financial services industry

  • At least 2 years in retail industry

  • Experience working with UX design and/or digital content strategy 

  • Working knowledge of Ad Tech and Martech space (e.g. CDP's, DMPs, DSPs, Ad-servers, DCO, Tag Management

  • Background with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
