Product Operations - Senior Manager (Capital Markets and Commercial Regulatory Focus)
As a member of the Product Operations & Delivery team at Capital One, you can achieve results you never thought possible by leading critical and strategic business transformations. In this exciting role, you will work closely with key stakeholders across the Finance organization: business, technology, design and product teams, to deliver results that will have a direct impact on the bottom line of the company and align with leadership's biggest priorities. Furthermore, your role within the On Demand Finance Transformation (ODFT) organization will put you in the driver’s seat to enable our talented development teams to deliver capabilities, products, and solutions which will improve the way our Finance associates perform their work.
You will lead strategic execution of high priority initiatives for the organization that could include the future state of our Finance technology, Finance strategic initiatives and large scale, cross-functional program delivery. In this role with the Product Strategy and Operations team within ODFT you will drive implementation of regulatory and strategic business initiatives across the Treasury and Commercial organizations while continuously identifying and evaluating opportunities to integrate with the broader ODFT organization and its Product functions to ensure adherence to the various product road maps and initiatives. This initiative has impacts throughout Capital One and you will work closely with key stakeholders not just in Finance, but throughout the company to deliver results that will have direct impact on the bottom line. The ideal candidate will be highly organized with strong problem solving and written and verbal communication skills.

Drive large scale cross-functional programs based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as needed
Leverage problem solving skills to ensure the program delivers on intent and maintain key program documentation
Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure accountability for and delivery of commitments
Identify ways to improve and streamline business processes
Exhibit a proven track record of implementing large scale cross-functional programs, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work
Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
Demonstrate confidence in presenting to an executive audience
Display ability to roll up messaging to an appropriate level for an executive audience. Produce professional, thoughtful presentation materials to drive home the big picture for our leadership team to make well informed decisions
Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands
Apply understanding of financial, forecasting, data, and technology concepts to initiative objectives
Display exceptional consulting and collaboration skills with a variety of stakeholders across all levels
Plan, design, manage, and execute product roadmaps to ensure delivery. This activity includes management through feasibility, design, planning, and implementation
Assist teams in developing objectives and corresponding key results to tie back to value-delivered
Partner with ODFT customers, including the broader Finance community and other lines of business, to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive implementations
Show a willingness to learn and an intellectual curiosity to better understand Capital One’s business processes to identify areas for improvement
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
At least 7 years of experience with Product and/or implementing large scale programs
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree
At least 10 years of experience implementing large scale technology transformation projects
Product, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Experience leading large scale technology transformation programs
Strong understanding of financial, banking, data, and technology concepts
Basic understanding of Product Management key principles, artifacts, and best practices
Work experience achieving results, with a focus on outcomes
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem solving and influencing skills
People leadership experience
