The Small Business Integrated Marketing team is a passionate, entrepreneurial team of strategists focused on communicating the value of Capital One’s small business products and services to prospective and existing customers. This Business Integrated Marketing Strategist role will be responsible for leading integrated product marketing plans and channel activations across Small Business Card and Small Business Bank. This person will partner closely with cross-functional teams across brand and product marketing, acquisitions and performance marketing, client development and sales, research, and other stakeholders to activate marketing in unique and memorable ways.
Tell consistent and compelling stories about our small business credit card and bank products and services across marketing and sales channels to drive key business objectives around demand generation, acquisitions, and customer engagement and retention.
Partner closely with the Product Brand Strategy and the relevant Channels Marketing teams to develop, build, and execute integrated campaign strategies across mid-funnel, lower-funnel and customer channels to effectively engage prospects and customers and drive key business outcomes.
Partner with research teams to employ marketing-generated insights to fuel integrated marketing growth strategies, including industry and competitive intelligence, customer and product knowledge, lead generation and warming programs.
Work closely with internal creative teams and external agencies to bring business intent to life via marketing creative. Facilitate the end-to-end creative development and execution of marketing materials.
Actively participate in “hub and spoke” integrated teams on behalf of small business integrated marketing strategy; represent Integrated Marketing Strategy and Small Business Brand Marketing more broadly with key partners in a highly matrixed environment.
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
Experience working across a number of marketing channels including direct mail, email, display, SEM, SEO, social, and sales enablement collateral
Obsessive about prospect and customer journeys and understanding the needs and behaviors that influence those journeys, communicate the brand and product value, and drive favorable business outcomes.
Embrace day-to-day flex between strategic thinking and hands-on execution
Strategic marketer who is able to lead and influence both through creative and analytical exercises
Open-minded problem solving capability and skilled at handling whitespace work.
Positive, inclusive and collaborative partner and teammate
High level of initiative and ownership, ability to collaborate and coordinate efforts across diverse functional groups.
Preference to work on highly ambiguous projects – where you are expected to test hypotheses and stand up best practices that don’t exist today.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively storytell via decks.
Excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a bias for action.
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 4 years of marketing experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related business management vector
4+ years of B2B integrated marketing experience in a fast-paced, technology-forward culture, preferably within the financial services industry, for a national brand or for an advertising agency
Demonstrated success in defining and launching insights-driven integrated marketing plans to support sales teams.
