Manager, Risk Management - Card (Hybrid)

As a Risk Manager at Capital One you’ll be responsible for working with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to Capital One. Risk Managers at Capital One are the front line of defense to ensure our Company remains stable and profitable.


Risk Managers at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent organizational and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as interdepartmental liaison, interfacing with lines of business, Tech, Cyber and other assurance functions and other areas to drive meaningful reductions in risk

  • Gather data and reporting; perform initial analysis or potentially evaluate data provided by team analysts

  • Design and implement internal governance processes

  • Test controls and track issues

  • Manage, implement and deliver on a subset of the program deliverables

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

  • At least 2 years of Financial Services,Tech Compliance, or Cyber Compliance experience

  • At least 2 years of Operational Management or Risk Management experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in Data Management, Reporting or Business Process Management


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Technology or Cyber Risk Management

  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, Audit Management or Regulatory Management

  • At least 1 professional security management certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
