The Money Coaching program team is a cross-functional group of product managers, product marketers, designers, engineers, analysts, Money Coaches, project managers and operations specialists working together to offer this unique, highly-rated digital + in-person experience across our retail footprint.
The Money Coaching team is looking for a Product Manager to lead and evolve our Money Coaching digital tools. You will have the opportunity to lead engineers and designers in building proprietary, brand-defining tools that drive customer engagement and trust, partnering closely with a vibrant community of passionate Money Coaches and branch/cafe Ambassadors as your direct users and key stakeholders.
We are looking for a product manager who can flex both discovery and delivery muscles to:
Lead a highly dynamic and multi-disciplinary team to develop and enhance web and mobile features. From software engineers to data analysts to legal/risk partners, you will be fostering relationships with colleagues across the company to support internal mandates while delivering features and products that delight our customers (Money Coaches, clients, and Ambassadors) and position our program for growth.
Gain inspiration, insight and ideas from analogous and/or competitive experiences in banking and other industries, as well as from observed customer needs, to inform product vision
Analyze user feedback and data and combine these insights with business requirements to drive product strategy and feature prioritization
Advocate for and incorporate appropriate cloud, mobile, and software patterns that are relevant to establishing Capital One as a leader in technology-driven financial services
Successful candidates will have the following:
A deep understanding of web and mobile best practices, and how these can be leveraged to drive customer engagement
Proven track record in delivering products that generate substantial value
High level of intellectual curiosity
Comfort with ambiguity and an ever-changing environment
Organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and ability to prioritize with minimal direction
Ability to influence teams and stakeholders with disparate goals to align on common ground
Communication skills, including the confidence and ability to present to executive management and in a compelling manner that emphasizes the important intersection of business and technology
Ability to balance well-managed, process-driven requirements with a powerful user experience in delivering products to customers
Ideal candidate has:
Proven track record in balancing consumer outcomes, business needs and technical feasibility and delivery
Experience delivering digital products in the context of a human service
Success in navigating complex corporate environments
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 2 years of experience in agile product management
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
MBA or Master’s degree
At least 3 years of experience in building or managing digital products in iOS, Android, or web.
