Our Audit Team is a diverse, highly engaged, cross-functional organization made up of data analysts and scientists, business analysts, auditors, and product leaders who collaborate to design & build products that will reinvent how we review the risk environment, enhance our coverage assurance, increase our efficiency and improve Auditor experience.


Product Managers play a critical role in achieving our strategy. They lead teams of designers, engineers, data scientists and analysts to define product strategy and develop, launch, and enhance products and services that drive our business forward.

The role:

We're looking for an experienced and energetic Product Manager to lead a team focused on developing next level auditor experiences  which help us provide greater coverage and assurance within Audit. These tools are not only aimed at helping us audit at scale, but moving us towards a state of continuous monitoring.

What you’ll do:

  • Set product vision and lead road mapping, goal setting, prioritizing, capability delivery, and product roll-out strategy

  • Continually drive to understand customer needs and ensure they are considered in prioritization and trade-off discussions

  • Develop and lead customer research, prototyping, and test and learn agendas with a focus on building MVP experiences to learn about hypotheses

  • Partner with our Tech and Data Science teams to find opportunities to leverage Machine Learning to deliver real-time, personalized and contextual experiences for our users

  • Lead grooming activities within an Agile team, specifically defining and writing user stories, acceptance criteria and customer experience

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and feedback loops with leaders and stakeholders who manage the downstream operations and processes that depend on the capabilities and performance of our platforms

  • Help with overall thought leadership around platform development at the intersection of data+design+tech for the sake of creating meaningful, measurable business and user value.

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:

  • A bias to action and a proven track record of shipping successful products to market which exceed user expectations

  • Knowledge and passion for emerging technologies and how they are used to empower developers and businesses to deliver great products

  • Grounding in human-centered design with a natural empathy for users

  • Strategic thinking and an ability to effectively identify opportunities for growth in new businesses and markets

  • A high level of intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity

  • Structured communication & storytelling skills with all audiences

  • Significant experience applying analytical rigor to support technology decisions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in product management

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Masters Degree

  • 5+ years of experience leading agile teams to launch products

  • 5+ years of experience translating business strategy and data analysis into products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $160,200 - $182,800 for Graduate Product Development Program

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
