INVESTMENT ANALYST ROLE:

As an Investment Analyst at United Income, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to investments and trading to drive customer value and outcomes. You will team with world-class professionals to develop and test strategies that ultimately impact our customers and the bottom line. And you will do it all in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibility, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation.

We are looking for an Investment Analyst who is exceptionally imaginative, collaborative, and truly excited about our mission. The ideal candidate is resourceful, analytical, self-motivating, and has great attention to detail.

  • The willingness to rock the socks off of even the small tasks, no matter how trivial some may seem;

  • Support Investments & Trading Team and Wealth Manager’s by preparing portfolio/asset class/ securities  analysis, adhere to guidance provided by compliance , carry out account administrative tasks,  and perform operational risk management tasks:

    • Assist the team in analyzing global economic and market trends and extracting lessons from the portfolio;

    • Provide support to the investment team by responding to ad-hoc report requests and acting as the “go-to” person for all matters related to policies, procedures and key operating systems;

    • Support portfolio process improvements and related IT initiatives;

  • Reporting:

    • Prepare quarterly portfolio reports that include analysis of trends over time, key issues, and areas of potential concern;

    • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, including materials presented to Investment Committeeand  the UI Board;

    • Prepare memos that summarize insights from gleaned from portfolio reviews and reporting to identify improvement opportunities and best practices;

  • Excellent demonstrated knowledge of relevant portfolio databases and systems (e.g. Cognos, Cubes, IRP, iPortal, EPMS) and relevant computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); and/or aptitude to learn new systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in analysis role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering

  • CFA, SQL, SAS, FRM certifications

  • 1+ years of experience in statistical model building, market research, SQL querying, Python, Orion

  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis in a corporate setting

  • 1+ years of experience in investments or trading within a Registered Investment Advisor

  • Financial services experience
