Distinguished Engineer - IAM Architect

As an Enterprise Identity and Access Management Architect, you will:

  • Be responsible for IAM Architecture, roadmap and driving key deliverables. 

  • Collaborate with Identity and Cyber leaders to define architecture by analyzing requirements

  • Work with Cloud Engineers to review and validate understanding of customer or solution requirements and translate initial scope into technical deliverables

  • Define governance process and develop tools for managing cloud IAM inventory and entitlement review

  • Create architectural documentation and artifacts to support Capital One’s cloud journey

  • Develop and maintain a cloud product map to support the reference framework

  • Assess the current Identity solutions and integration with standard enterprise identity platforms and recommend new approaches;

  • Develop knowledge in payment services compliance and cyber security frameworks

  • Build current and future state architectures, threat models, leveraging agile methodologies

  • Research and publish implementable cloud IAM architecture patterns and solutions

  • Provide coaching, guidance and direction on IAM projects, ensuring overall fit with enterprise architecture direction

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

  • At least 7 years of solution architecture experience 

  • At least 5 years of experience with Identity and Access Management technology

  • At least 4 years of experience integrating security controls with DeVOps processes

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • At least 7 years of experience with Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM)

  • At least 5 years of experience in designing AWS IAM policies to support Data Governance

  • At least 3 years of experience implementing IAM policies in a multi-account environment

  • 2+ years of experience with privileged access management programs or tools

  • 5+ years of experience in directory services  (AD, LDAP)

  • 7+ years of experience in an enterprise environment
