Cyber Product Manager

Do you enjoy building cyber security product portfolios?  Do you thrive in collaborative, fast-paced, agile, data-centric engineering environments?  If so, we are looking for you! As a Cyber Product Manager, you will be integral to the security of our corporation.  You will join a dynamic team focused on working cross-functionally to design, build, and launch the next generation of Cyber Security products.  You will support a senior leadership team in making “build vs. buy” decisions. This is an opportunity for a passionate, driven Cyber Product Manager to influence/drive/lead a cutting-edge cyber product portfolio and be rewarded for the success of its new offerings. As a key member of the cyber product management team, you will contribute to the development of product/solution strategy and direction, as well as identifying and developing consensus on tactical, operational, and strategic priorities for product development.

What It Takes:

Cyber Skills

  • Bring cyber experience and a deep understanding of the security market, staying current with buying and competitive trends, identifying and defining requirements to fill product gaps 

  • Knowledge of core security tool concepts (IDS/IPS, SIEM, Firewalls, Vulnerability Assessment tools, configuration compliance, etc.) and ability to analyze technical outputs and recommend process improvements at an enterprise level. 

  • Understanding and working knowledge of deploying & managing tools (endpoint agents, cloud native tools, monitoring tools, and such) in an enterprise.

  • Experience achieving compliance with various regulations (NIST 800 series, ISO 27000 series, GDPR etc.) 

  • Experience in security assurance or compliance functions including Service Organization Controls, Risk Management, Vulnerability Management, Security Monitoring, and other Information Security Practices

     

Agile Product Management Skills

  • Product Management experience

  • Understanding of agile product management and engineering practices 

  • Translate product strategy into detailed prototypes and stories for agile development

  • Work closely with engineering to plan sprints and deliver short TTM products of high quality

  • Ensure delivery is effectively managed, and good product/project management practices are implemented to ensure effective delivery to time, budget and specification

Communication/Collaboration Skills

  • Evangelize and create buy-in from internal and external stakeholders for product vision and roadmap

  • Strong presentation skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with distributed, cross-functional teams

  • Evangelize products to customers, field and industry analysts to build awareness and mindshare

  • Run customer and field advisory boards, presenting to senior executives

  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure feedback into product roadmap and customer satisfaction

  • Develop and maintain effective engagement with users and stakeholders, both internally and externally

  • Facilitate and lead discussions on product development, capture inputs from stakeholders and maintain a prioritized list of improvements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • At least 4 years of experience in Cyber Security

  • At least 2 years of agile product management or software solution delivery experience 

  • At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, or Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS solutions architect or developer certification

  • 1+ years of experience securing cloud environments and services, through maintaining and enhancing cloud security controls and standards
